Brief travel plan.
Day 1: Pick up from Kampala and transfer to Kibale forest national park.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and afternoon bigodi swamp walk.
Day 3: Transfer to queen Elizabeth national park and do afternoon game drive in the park.
Day 4: game drive in afternoon boat cruise on kazinga channel.
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi forest national park via ishasha.
Day 6: Gorilla trekking and batwa cultural experience.
Day 7: Transfer to kampala.
Detailed travel package
Day 1: Pick up from Kampala and transfer to Kibale forest national park.
Following your 7 Days Uganda primates and wildlife safari, your Muhiga safaris guide will pick you from your place of accommodation and you will later head to Kibale forest national park, the drive will take you about 6-7 hours with brief stop overs for stretches as well as . you will arrive in fort portal where you will have lunch and later you will proceed to your lodge. If time allows you will do a village tour going to the community. Later you will head to you accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: chimpanzee trekking and afternoon bigodi swamp walk.
In the morning after breakfasts, you will be picked from the lodge and you will drive to the park headquarters where you will be briefed following your Chimp trek, head to the forest in search for the chimpanzees human closest relatives in terms of DNA, upon meeting them you will spend a maximum of 1 hour with the chimps in interacting with them taking as many photos and observing how they go about their day life. Later you will exit the forest and be handed certificate and later head back to your hotel for lunch and brief relaxation.
In the afternoon, you will head out for a scenic nature walks in Bigodi swamps in search for birds and other wildlife. The nature walks in amazing as you will get to explore the flora and fauna on foot giving you an amazing experience. Later you will head back to your lodge dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to queen Elizabeth national park and do afternoon game drive.
In the morning after breakfast, you will head to queen Elizabeth national park where you will check in for lunch and later you will exit and head out for evening game drive in park with the options of seeing lions, elephants , Uganda Kobs, warthogs , exit the park.
Dinner and overnight at the park
Day 4: Game drive in the park and boat cruise.
In the morning after breakfast, you will be picked up from the lodge and later head out to the park in search wildlife. You will head to Kasenyi a place filled with lots of wildlife, you will see large herds of elephants , buffaloes, warthogs , kobs, water bucks, lions, leopards among others, see also several birds species. Later exit head to the accommodation for lunch and brief relaxation.
Later in the afternoon the you will head out for a boat cruise on kazinga channel, note the channel connects lake Edward and lake George and is a rich spot for seeing large schools of hippos, crocodiles several wildlife and birds species ashore. The cruise will be a scenic one and breathtaking. After the cruise, you will head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi forest national park via ishasha
On the day 5 your guide will pick you up from the lodge after breakfast and you will embark Bwindi forest national park via Ishasha. Upon arrival you will check in at your lodge where you have a relaxed day, you can opt to do a community tour check out the areas around the park.
Dinner and overnight stay at the park
Day 6: Gorilla trekking and batwa cultural experience.
In the morning after breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for briefing regarding gorilla trekking, later be a signed a gorilla family to trek from as well as the ranger who will take you into the jungles in search for mountain gorillas, the hike is strenuous but rewarding when you meet the gentle giants. The hike will guarantee you an opportunity to see other primates like monkeys and birds, as you ascend higher you will start seeing signs of gorillas’ evidence with breaking of tree shoots, later you will meet the gorillas taking a maximum of 1 hour with them, taking photos and seeing how they go about their life’s. Later slope down the park headquarters, get gorilla trekking certificate and head back to the lodge where you will have lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will head out to the community visit of the batwa people.
Dinner and overnight at the hope.
Day 7: Transfer back to Kampala and be dropped off at the lodge.
Early in the morning after breaks, you will check out of the lodge and transfer to Kampala with stop overs in Mbarara for lunch. Later proceed to Kampala and be dropped off at any place of your accommodation.
