Detailed travel package
Day 1: Pick up from Kampala and transfer to Kibale forest national park
After a leisurely breakfast, meet your guide, who will take you to Kibale forest national park via the Fort portal, which offers breathtaking views, to Kibale Forest in Kampala. Lunch will be served end way. Once you reach the park, proceed and see the stunning crater lakes region, where you can also witness the terraced tea estates. Enjoy dinner and spend the night.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to queen elizabeth national park.
Early in the morning, after breakfast, depart with the driver guide so he can take you to the park headquarters for an orientation. Following the briefing, depart for the rain forest at roughly 8:00 am to begin your chimpanzee walk, led by park rangers. Seeing chimpanzees in the wild and witnessing their everyday antics, such as playing, jumping, and feeding, is always an exhilarating and unique experience. Other animals that can be seen include L’Hoest’s monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and other birds.
After lunch, return to the lodge and check out before starting the three-hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is home to a wide variety of species.
Day 3: Game drive in queen Elizabeth national park and afternoon boat cruise on kazinga channel.
Get up early, grab a cup of coffee, and head out for a wildlife drive. Along the Kasenyi trail, you can spot some early risers including lions, warthogs, solitary buffalo, elephants, and antelopes. Following a two to three-hour drive, check into the lodge, where you will have breakfast and lunch before leaving for the launch cruise in the Kazinga Channel. One of the most exciting things to do in the park is take a boat ride, where you may see a variety of animals like birds, crocodiles, hippos, waterbucks, elephants, and buffaloes along the banks. Go back to the lodge, change, eat dinner, and spend the night.
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Forest national park via ishasha.
Following breakfast, set out on your drive to Bwindi, passing through the Ishasha area and stopping to take in views of the climbing lions among other animals if you are lucky to see some . You will get to see some lovely landscapes along the route. Eat lunch on the way, then arrive in the afternoon at the park or lodge. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 5: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest national park
After waking up really early for breakfast, you should drive to the Park headquarters with your tour guide, you can opt to bring a packed lunch just incase you stay long while trekking the gorillas . You will receive instructions on what to do and what not to do when trekking , later you will head into the forest in search for the mountain gorillas.
Because gorillas are located in such a place, trekking typically takes 1- 5 h hours or perhaps a whole day. You are only allowed to watch them for an hour, but it will be a terrific and enjoyable experience when you see them. Make sure you also pack non-flash cameras, hats, sunglasses, raincoats, and adequate water. Return to the lodge later after the hike, enjoy lunch, and get ready for an evening community visit with the Batwa people.
Day 6: Transfer to Kampala
On your last day of the safaris , your Muhiga safaris guide will see you being checked out and you will transfer to back to Kampala , with a stopover in Mbarara for lunch . Upon arrival you will be dropped off at your place of accommodation or perhaps at the airport for your flight home.
