Gorilla trekking is by far one of the most sought-after activities while on an African safari.   the gorilla trekking activities involves   a hike through the jungles, forests, and thickets in search for the endangered mountain gorilla species.  The journey to trekking gorillas starts with a transfer to the park headquarters, where the gorilla  briefing is done, where a series of instruction and dos and don’ts are told to the trekkers, followed by a sign of gorilla family one is going to track from.   After all the clearances are done, the trekkers then embark on the trekking / tracking exercise that could take approximately 30 minutes – 4 hours depending on the mobility of the gorilla family you have been assigned to trek from.    your transcending to the jungles is accompanied by a game ranger who  will also help with the navigation as well as  cutting the undergrowth with a machete to ensure mobility. The thrill is derived from seeing the gorilla as well as the adventure involved in getting to see them.   depending on the mobility of the gorilla family you have been assigned to trek from, it can take anywhere from 1 hour to 4 hours to see the gentle giants. 

Upon seeing gorillas, gorilla you are required to spend maximum of 1 hours with them interacting and studying them from how the feed, to how they interact one another, the way of the gorillas will prompt  you to take as many photos as you can as reminder of the amazing time you had with. at the end of the gorilla trekking exercise trekkers are required to return to the park headquarters, where you are handed certificates of participation.
